The competition is organised by the Valle d’Aosta Association of Chefs in collaboration with Châtillon Foundation for Vocational and Hotel Training, Châtillon Town Council and Valle d’Aosta Slow Food. Matteo won a 300 euro scholarship , a minimum of one week’s work placement at a patisserie of his choice and membership of Valle d’Aosta Association of Chefs for the year 2021. As well as asking contestants to highlight the importance of honey, they were also expected to research the best method of preservation, a suitable sales packaging and calculate the overall cost.
